Being a crafting addict, like I am, I am sure you have all kinds of cardstock and designer paper just waiting to be used. Now, here is your chance. I am not going to tell you what colors I am going to use on my card, I am just going to tell you how to make the card. Who ever post their version of their card first, either before or after I post my card, will win a stamp set! So, crafting diva's and crafting gents (manly stampers) are you ready?
First: Start out with a piece of cardstock that is 12x12. Cut one side to 5 1/2; now you should have a piece of cardstock that measures 5 1/2 x 12.
Second: Score the 12 inch side at 1/2, 4, 4 1/2, and 8; fold all your score lines. Fold the card on all scored lines. Take the 1/2 piece, which will be now the inside of the card, and mountain fold it so that the scored part is facing you, and then put either your choice of sticky strip, glue stick, tombow glue, or snail (my favorite). Bring up the card front so it stands straight up and adhere your 1/2 piece. Now your inside card should look like a box. NOTE: Some might find it easier to do this part before they adhere the 1/2 piece, but you will use a punch, of your choice, and your going to punch out and stamp inside the punched area. ( I hope all can understand this) now you can decorate the punched area.
Third: Put the card to the side for right now.
Fourth: Your going to make layers. The front of your card, take a piece of cardstock or designer series paper and cut it to 3 3/4 x 5 1/4; what ever type of paper you just used now your going to switch. Ex: If you used cardstock now your going to use designer paper for the second layer. This piece will measure to be 3 1/2 x 5. HINT: You may want to go ahead and embellish this piece, stamp, design, etc. before you adhere it to the card front.
Fifth: Adhere to the front of your card
Sixth: Now you should have a 3d type of card.
Now post your creations or email them, I told you it was a Switch-A-Roo Friday, to april@aprilscraftingaddiction.com
I can't wait to see what everyone has done.
